Dr. Guohua Massey | Licensed Acupuncturist
Dr. Guohua Massey started her journey into Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in 1994 when she graduated with a Bachelor’s from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine in China where she worked after her schooling in the hospital until moving to America. Here she returned to Acupuncture School and obtained a Master’s Degree from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) in Phoenix, Az, and then completed her Doctorate degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA. She has a decade of work experience in China and America. She has been teaching at PIHMA for several years in Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture.
Dr. Guohua is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Acupuncture Examiners and has her Oriental Medical Doctorate (OMD) from the National Commission of Chinese Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She does full assessment using five element theory, Zang Fu theory and she does tongue and pulse for each patient. She recognizes the relationship between mind, body and spirit and does her best to address them all at the same time to achieve balance, harmony and health.
She applies acupuncture and utilizes Chinese Herbal Medicine to each individual patient under his/her care. She specializes in Parkinson’s disease, restless leg syndrome, insomnia, depression, weight loss and diabetes, deafness and hearing loss, hypertension, stress, arthritis and chronic pain as well as men & women’s health.
