Toni Bennalley, MSAc, MSOM, LAc
Toni Bennalley, MSAc, MSOM, LAc, has been working in the healthcare field since 1991. She was a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician with Walgreens for 15 years, while she was attending Acupuncture school. She graduated from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) in 2001 where she served as Student Body President for 3 of her 4 years in school.
Toni also completed training at Chengdu University in China where she received an honorary diploma and studied emotional disorders, scalp acupuncture and tui-na. She was among the first acupuncturists chosen to work for Banner Health Services where she worked at Banner Estrella Medical Center for 7 years as the staff acupuncturist.
Currently working in Avondale, Toni specializes in treatments of neck and back pain, emotional disorders, migraines, sciatic nerve pain, addictions and facial rejuvenation. She became certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) in 2005, and is currently the supervisor of Native American Connections and trains students in Acu-Detox.
She was appointed by Governor Janet Napolitano, as Professional Member to the State of Arizona Acupuncture Board of Examiners in June 2007. While serving on the board she served as Chairperson for 3 years and just finished her second term as Secretary.
Toni has been teaching various acupuncture and herbal courses at PIHMA for over 9 years and was named Clinic Department Chair in April 2012. Her thorough knowledge of western medications combined with her Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine, gives Toni a strong foundation for providing integrative care. Toni is currently on staff as a Professor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, as well as the Clinic Dean for PIHMA.
